After extensive renovation, Tops softly reopens on Valentine’s day perfect for couples and soon-to-be couples idea of a date. Nestled atop the majestic hills of Busay in Cebu City, Tops has long been revered as a haven for breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences. Tops invites locals and tourists alike to rediscover its charm and splendor. With its panoramic vistas, delectable cuisine, and rejuvenated ambiance, the iconic destination promises an enchanting escape like no other.
Perched at an elevation of over 600 meters above sea level, Tops offers unrivaled views of the city skyline, Mactan Island, and the shimmering waters of the Bohol Strait. From sunrise to sunset, visitors are treated to a spectacle of colors painting the horizon, creating a backdrop that is both mesmerizing and awe-inspiring which was perfectly romantic for a Valentine’s date.
Shuttle buses now ply back and forth to Tops to give visitors ease of getting to the esteemed destination as a great added service. The 200 pesos transportation fare includes back-and-forth rides and the entrance fee to Tops which gives visitors with no vehicles a cheaper alternative from riding the usual motorcycle taxi going there. These buses are parked in the terminal of IT Park and JY Square Mall. Check on the schedule below to avoid getting left behind as these buses leave on time.
On its first day of soft reopening, the renovations were amazing yet unfinished as construction workers were visibly finishing its touches before the grand opening. Added floors gave new heights to the once low structure. The second floor gave more space for retails and restaurants to start their business while the third floor served as an event space for various activities. The fourth floor gave an even higher view of the amazing lookout. Despite so many ongoing construction work, safety of the visitors were assured while giving a visual preview of what Tops could become soon.
While only an ice cream stall, a flower stall for Valentine’s day, and one store were open on that day, visitors got a glimpse of what the tourist attraction could offer for a mountainside dine-in experience with visible logos of both familiar and unfamiliar restaurants.
Among the most sought after returns was the musical concerts. On the first evening of its reopening, the third floor held the first ever concert by Julia Fordham and her serenading lovely voice which was another perfect way to spend the night on Hearts Day. Tops promises more concerts and events in the future for visitors to look forward to.
Parking is no more an issue as a dedicated structure was built for all motorists to park. It is located on the right side going downhill from the main building.
